US NAVY Admiral (ADM) Joseph W. Prueher, Commander in CHIEF U.S. Pacific Command visits with Kurdish children in a hospital tent at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, during OPERATION PACIFIC HAVEN. The tents are used for routine physical examinations and immunization of Kurdish evacuees being temporarily housed at Andersen AFB. Pacific Haven, a joint humanitarian operation conducted by the U.S. Military, evacuated over 2,100 Kurds from Northern Iraq. The evacuees will be housed temporarily at Andersen AFB, Guam, while they go through the immigration process for residence into the United States
