Tingman, FEMA's federal coordinating officer in American Samoa, listen as Tusi Suiaunoa, chief protocol officer for the governor's office, describes the damage and recovery in the village of Amanave. Many homes in Amanave were destroyed by the tsunami of September 29, 2009, but no lives were lost there. Elsewhere in American Samoa there were 32 confirmed deaths as of this date.
