U.S. Navy (USN) L.Y. Spear Class Submarine Tender USS FRANK CABLE (AS 40) Sailors fold an American flag in memory of USN Machinery Repairman Fireman (MRFN) Jack Valentine during a memorial service held in the chapel at Naval Base Guam, on Dec. 10, 2006. MRFN Valentine died on Dec. 8 at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, from injuries sustained during a Dec. 1 boiler explosion aboard the Guam based submarine tender.
