Account of the Beginning of the Christianity on Sapwuahfik
- Description:
- Ms. Suzana Solomon (b. 1935, 80 years old) narrates an account on the time when the Protestant missionaries brought the Christianity to Sapwuahfik Atoll in the 1870s. People used conch shells and bells to chase island spirits away. She performs a dance of a hymn, which was created at that time by adopting movements from traditional Sapwuahfik dances.
