Description:
Letter from Robert F. Foote to his parents. In this letter, Foote explained that his ship received orders to leave Japan and return to San Francisco, but had stopped in Shanghai, China to pick up sick and injured men from a Navy Hospital. Foote described going up the Yangtze River and its challenges before describing what Shanghai was like. Foot...
