- Description:
- This video depicts men's travel basket plaiting on Nuguria, Papua New Guinea, which was filmed by Dr. Albert Davletshin (Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow) in 2013. This was taken place on the forbidden island. Each of the four clans possesses one tabou island where sea birds lay eggs, fire is forbidden to be kindled and people are not allowed to visit without a permission given by the chief. We would like thank Dr. Davletshin for granting us permission to share this here!
