- Richard Namaliu, the man convicted of manslaughter for the death of beauty pageant, Ruby Anne Laufa was today sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment in hard labor. The Waigani National Court made this ruling and also gave orders for him to be quarantined for two weeks before he is taken to the main prison compound. The sentencing comes after attempts by his lawyers to convince the court to reduce the sentencing and also calling for alternate penalties.
