- It's been 5 years since the Small Craft Act was passed to provide safety guidelines for persons using small crafts. Over the past two days, the National Maritime Safety Authority held a review meeting in Lae, bringing officers from the Momase Region, and the Oro Province. Danny Welly from the Sandaun Administration said funding constraints and the lack of cooperation from small craft operators and owners were two of the challenges faced with implementing the small craft act in his province.
