An environment activist says any mining or extractive activity does have an impact on the surrounding environment. Wenceslaus Magun told EMTV, the comparison between long term development and immediate benefit must not be juggled by resource owners. He says the extractive industry has had severe impacts and people must consider the conservation of the environment. Mr Magun encouraged eco-friendly options to develop resources and sustain the eco-system.
