Siasiada Station
- Description:
- About an hour drive outside of Alotau Town is Siasiada Oil Palm Station. Once run by the Oil Palm Industry Corporation or OPIC, it seems the station has seen too many bad days, as consecutive OPIC management turned a blind eye on its operations, leaving the OPIC houses to deteriorate and the oil palms abandoned. Good news though, as plans are now underway to revive the OPIC operations at the station and provide the much needed oil palm extension services.
