- The debate on the Government’s proposal for a gold refinery in the country, has copped heavy criticism in Parliament after it was signed at Government House recently. There were heated exchanges in Parliament today as Abau MP Sir Puka Temu questioned Prime Minister James Marape on the processes involved in the deal. The Prime Minister said it is not a new agenda and that Government is trying to enable greater benefits for Papua New Guineans.
