- Family of the school boys rugby league star in Lae, Lai Noro, have petitioned the police over his death in a police shoot-out in December last year. The 17 year old was alleged to be shot by police and later died while fleeing from a fight that broke out during the Lae Rugby League Competition last December. The family has laid a complaint with police and petitioned the police to conduct an autopsy report, make arrests and meet the funeral expenses.
