Government not doing enough

- It is estimated that about 500 to 700 cases of Sorcery related violence occur annually but are unreported. That is according to the Tribal Foundation PNG, an NGO that is in the forefront of helping victims and survivors of sorcery related violence. They say while the government has set up and repealed legislations in parliament on the issue of sorcery related violence, and even setting up a special parliamentary committee on Gender Based Violence, implementation is lacking.
