- Students from Southern Highlands Province attending Avatec Aviation College in Port Moresby have raised concerns on the outstanding school fees that the Provincial Government was supposed to pay. They say they were sponsored by the Provincial Government to attend the college; however the Provincial Government is yet to pay their component. This has resulted in most students leaving their studies.
