- The historical Salamaua station which sits in one of the oldest towns in the country is on the verge of sinking due to climate change. Leaders from Salamaua, Huon Gulf including leaders from the entire province of Morobe are trying to save Salamaua from the high seas and huge waves, especially the local government station and the nearby villagers. However, funding is a challenge for them.
