King George and the Parliamentary party, Nuku'alofa, 1903

Description:
King George Toupu II of Tonga (centre) with members of the New Zealand Parliamentary party outside the royal palace in Nuku'alofa. C.H. Mills is standing immediately to the right of the king, and J.W. Black (wearing a spotted cummerbund) is on the front row, fourth from the right. In the evening the party attended the royal chapel, and listened to a fine programme of music rendered by the king's choir, and the Boys' College choir.
