Premiere Airdate: October 3, 2013 Traffic congestion on the east side of Kauai has reached epidemic proportions, causing travel times to increase five-fold during peak hours. This report by Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School sights construction and an increase in tourist traffic as chief causes for the buildup. They also look at what the State Department of Transportation is doing to alleviate the problem and the potential of traffic congestion to negatively impact Kauai tourism.
