- Inspired by childhood memories of his grandparent’s saimin stand in Haleʻiwa, Ross Shigeoka opened Shige’s Saimin Stand twenty-eight years ago in Wahiawā. It has since developed into a home for members of the community to gather and carry out the traditions of enjoying Shige’s homemade saimin and hamburgers.
