Side A & B: General conversations with Downs mentioned Chimbu (Simbu) politics and the"big man" model enlisting local native leaders in the local government administration. The challenges, influences from tribal, traditional structures and individual aspirations for power and control under the colonial rule and administration mainly in the PNG Highlands region including Simbu, Enga, Western Highlands, Eastern Highlands in these conversations. Other conversations on how the local and district administrations were operated and provided services as well as Lutheran missionary work and mention of Rev Hanamand at Kerowagi and various developments happening.
