- Re-performance of welcome dance. (This had been performed in a slightly different manner the day before as we entered the village – on that occasion including 3 women in mock threats to shoot us with their bows, and another woman in a garish Balinese-style death mask obtained from Boigu Island – but since we had not filmed that welcome, being too busy experiencing and responding to it, people decided to restage it the following evening and avail themselves of the chance to improve their costumes from the day before). This was the first phase of the welcome dance, held near the point where we enter the village. Video recording made at Tais village, Sept 20, 2013. Language as given: Nä.
