- A stalwart of the Cook Islands community in Tamaki Makaurau passed away recently. His name was William Teariki, affectionately known as Papa Bill. In 1996, fellow Cook Islander and reporter John Utanga was at the Auckland Pasifika festival, just one of many initiatives that Bill was at the forefront of.
