Description:
In May 1972 in Suva 18 countries took part in the first South Pacific Festival of Arts. Due to its success, 22 countries readily accepted New Zealand’s offer to host the 2nd Festival in March 1976. Sir Albert Henry Premier of the Cook Islands and his entourage were greeted at Auckland’s international airport, where customs began the huge task of clearing artefacts to be used in the Festival. ...
