- Description:
- Malangan mask with a richly painted head and cut out detail, provided with tall rods and long loose ears (B, C), eroded as if worn on the head. Small eyes of shells (Turbo petholatus opercula), the teeth are black painted in a mouth with red lips. From the middle of the lower lip, two almost completely black painted arches are set down to then go uphill. They represent snakes and are provided with eyes. Above the snakes, cut long rods forming black fish, under these cut holes in which to hang ear deposits.
