- Cranium with mandible of Child Juvenile. No obvious decorations present that is distinguishable from taphonomic modifications. Skull is mottled in color, ranging from dark reddish-purple to lighter reddish-brown to a lighter natural bone color on the basicranium and mandible, with small areas of bright white bone also on the lingual mandibular surface that may be bleached. With the exception of rUPM1 (some black organic staining), teeth are very clean. Skull is also relatively clean, with minimal adhering grey soil and roots (endocranium, basicranium, nasal, orbits). Individual is juvenile and bone is generally thin, friable and fragile. Spots of spalding and surface weathering across the vauld, but especially noticeable on posterior parietals, occipital, and mandible. No trauma or obvious pathology. Teeth are very clean, alveolar margins intact. Maxilla: Some traits unscorable due to postmortem loss or unerupted adult dentition. drUM2 shows score 2 Carabelli's. Mandible: Teeth in situ are unworn. M3 crypts just beginning to open.
