- Cranium with mandible of Mature adult Male. No obvious decorations present that is distinguishable from taphonomic modifications. Skull is mottled, from light tan to a darker reddish-brown, but no obvious decoration. Grey soil wash across most of the skull and mandible and adhering soil is the orbits, basicranium, zygomatics. Substantial postmorted damage; cracked through right frontal, right temporal loose, right zygo arch missing, anterior alveoli damaged, right gonial corner missing. Roots in basicranium, nasal and orbits. Much lighter coloration on palate, basicranium, and right lingual mandible could be signs of bleaching. Mandibular posterior border lightly polished. No obvious trauma. Osseous pathology possibly present via visible pitting on occipital and posterior parietals. Many teeth missing; all right max molars lost antemortem (crypts closing), abcess destroying lLM1 crypt, periodontal disease visible in right-side max crypts. Caries possible in occlusal lUM3, lLM3, moderate wear and calc on most teeth. Right zygo arch missing, right temporal loose, skull cracked through frontal. Maxilla: Many teeth missing and those remaining moderately worn. Mandible:
