- Description:
- Cranium with mandible of Mature adult Male. No obvious decoration present that is distinguishable from taphonomic modifications. Skull is intact and mottled, ranging in color from light tan to darker reddish-brown. Very minimal medium-grey soil in patches, with roots only present in the orbits, basicranium (minimal) and root traces on the palate. Small patches of weathering and spalding in several location, with the most continuous extent being on the vault near bregma. Right zygo arch off-center at suture. No obvious trauma or osseous pathology. Dental pathology includes minimal calc on most remaining teeth, significant periodontal pitting on all exposed molar crypts (much less anteriorly), and a large abcess that has destroyed much of right lateral UM2 alveolus. Maxilla: Only rUC and rUM1 present, all other crypts open. Both remaining teeth moderately worn. Mandible: lLI2 is incorrectly glued into canine crypt.
