- Cranium with mandible of Young adult/Mature adult Male. No obvious decoration present that is distinguishable from taphonomic modifications. Skull is relatively clean with minimal soil and roots in both orbits, nasal, sphenoid and basicranium. Color is relatively uniform light mottled tan-brown with light reddish orange staining on right frontal, right parietal, mandible, right zygo, darker staining and mottling elsewhere. Buccal and lingual surfaces of most mandibular teeth stained almost black, but not neccessarily due to betel nut use. No obvious trauma but possible light osteOlder adultrth related pitting on right mandibular condyle and corresponding fossa. Teeth show minimal wear except for rLI2, staining, minimal calc, but no caries. Several maxillary crypts show periodontal pitting, and both UPM1s appear to have developing abcesses. Abcess has partially destroyed lateral alveolus at root of rLM1. Mesio-lingual corner of lLM2 chipped off. Maxilla: Maxillary M3s 3 rooted, lost postmortem. Mandibular ones show partial pegging.
