- Ship model: M/S SIENA, Liner Replacement Vessel built 1979 for Nakskov Shipyard to ØK. The series was on a total of 8 ships of which seven were called: SAMOA, SARGODHA, SIENA, SIMBA, SINALOA, SONGKHLA and SUMBAWA. The last two were built at Mitsui Shipbuilding and Engineering Company, the rest at Nakskov Shipyard. It was this type of ship deployed on the company’s Pacific route gave the company so much loss that the company’s shipping service never got over it. The ship’s dimensions are: L 160 cm, W 26 cm, H 50 cm. Montre: 173 X 38 X 60 cm. The ship was purchased at Bruun Rasmussen’s Auctions, which was held on 4th Dec. 97 over ship models and other from ØK. The museum received hammer blows of DKK 55.000, which with a wrap. turned into DKK 68.750. The money was donated with 26.000 from the Friendship and the rest from the National Museum Board.
