- Description:
- Parrot species spread in the mountain, tropical and subtropical forests of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea up to 2000 m altitude. In nature these parrots may have two types of plumage, red and melanic. The melanic plumage, dark, was observed mainly in birds living at high altitudes. The preparation is part of the old collection purchased by Grigore Antipa from 1898-1907.
