Length: 56 cm. Ellice Islands Oceania 301 Skirt. Of straw. From the skirt strip down ornaments with a staffing similar to the previous _ No. 297-300. The patterns, with squares, etc., are strongly reminded of those on painted tapa from Samoa. Length: 50 cm. (Ornamental detail enl. fig.) Ellice Islands Oceania 302 Skirt. Of pandanus strips, plaited at the top. On one side, a similar, painted ornamentation as in the previous headings 297-301. The patterns are scared transversely and chessboard. Length: 42 cm.
