Length: 50 cm. Ellice Islands Oceania 298 Kjol. A series of similar ornaments of partly painted palm leaf pieces attached to the skirt. However, only the tvenne big have feathers as on the previous no. 297. Length: 42 cm. The Ellice Islands Skluale 299 Kjol. The two widest of the painted bands have crosses and chessboard patterns. On the tvenne of the narrower occur like- like squares as on the armor from the Kingsmill Islands and also on the tapa from Samoa. Length: 47 cm. Ellice Islands Oceania [ocr]
