3 1 8 1924.6 1924.6 256 Comb. Of wood, 7 teeth, round at the top. Has cut, four triangles with the tips facing each other, forming a Maltese cross. Posted with mother-of-pearl, which has disappeared, in 2 triangles. Wooden combs, both transverse (Edge Partington I, 337 All and 2) and round (Ibid. no. 4) can be found on the islands of Torres Sund. Length: 14.5 cm. Width: 595 cm. Nukant = Eliica Islands Oceania 257 Ash of wood. Small. On four round legs, slightly conical upwards, with lid. This loc is with a string, (running on the side of the vessel, d _ els at the top of the lid), attached to the vessel. A wooden vessel of much the same type/firm without feet, is Edge Pårtina- ton III, 49 nr 15, Ellice Islands, “for holding small träon a canoe Ett.” They are called tourouma.
