293 1924.6 1924.6 177 Club. The type complicated thereby, that on the narrowest part of the blade sits a wide crossstroke, edged with flat surfaces as well as the blade itself. Apart from cross-loans, the club is set to fire most closely in type Edge Partington, I, 70, No. 1, Samoa, or, if one takes the leaf above the cross loan, Ibid., No. 6 Samoa, however, it must be disregarded that No. 177 has pyramidal termination. Ornamental geo- metric, triangles, rectangles and Maltese crosses, pond lime. The main type without a crossstroke even on Tonga. Length: 87 cm. Samoa Islands Oceania 178 Club, (nifuoti). Knife like. (Fig.). Has at the top of the blade a curved snabel, like Edge Partington I, 73, No. 5, Samoa and I, 74 No. 2, Samoa. However, the type of the blade itself is quite different these two ex. at Edge Partington. No. 178 has the blade flat and thin. The front is sharpened to the egg, and is thus a kind of swordclub. Orna- mentik geometric. The usual small triangles limit the fields. In each field a Maltese cross and tvenne pair of triangles with the tips against each other. Length: 63 cm.
