- For several years Moana writers have been calling out the lack of books published by Pacific and Māori writers in New Zealand. They say the publishing industry doesn’t value our stories and doesn’t believe there’s a market for us. However, Tatou Publishing, founded last year by two Pasifika women, is proving there’s plenty of writing talent and demand for our stories. Simone Kaho has this story.
