Handwritten on verso: 3 m bark Hesper. The HESPER was a three-masted American bark out of San Francisco built in 1882 at the Hall Bros. shipyard at Port Blakely, and sunk in 1912. PH Coll 318.365 HESPER was built in 1882 by Hall Brothers at Port Blakeley for the Pacific Coast "triangle trade", delivering lumber to Australia, coal to Hawaii, and ...
