- Tatā. Bailer. This is a carved tatā made of wood. The tatā is a light brown colour with a rough unpolished surface. The tatā is curved so it can be used to scoop water. The handle protrudes from the back edge of the tatā before angling down to connect to the base of the tatā. This tatā is fairly small and shows no signs of wear and tear.
