- Va'aālo model. Outrigger canoe model. The liu (hull) has a smooth unpolished surface and is made of a dark brown wood. The liu is undecorated, however it has been roughly painted with a white substance along the sides. Dotting the top edge of the liu is a series of small drilled holes.
