Development of aviation in the South Sea islands: regular air-mail service inaugurated between islands of the Fiji group
- Description:
- A light aeroplane fitted with floats photographed at Levuka after the first trip of the new airmail service between Suva a certain islands of the group. Captain Fenton piloted the machine and, as well as a passenger, carried about 60 lb of mail. Two aeroplanes are now available for hire at Fiji and it is evident that flying is firmly established in the islands.
