The lectotype (P00537796) is designated for the name Brachyscome neocaledonica Guill. (now accepted as Pytinicarpa neocaledonica (Guill.) G.L.Nesom), the type species of the genus Pytinicarpa G.L.Nesom (Asteraceae).
