Tivote Qele
- Description:
- Tivote Qele. Clay teapot. Consists of two parts; a body and a lid, with an i gaga (pouring spout) at the side of the body, with a handle at the opposite side. The lid is conical in shape and is decorated with incised lines. The outer surface of the body is decorated with somuna (decorative spots of applied qele), and is coated with makadre (resin from the Dakua tree). Mostly brown in colour.
