Tokelau Islanders living in New Zealand visit the Tokelau Island atolls to see progress towards self-government, where the new Parliament (General Fono) and Council of Ministers (Faipule) are working to decolonisation as requested by United Nations. The islands in the 1960s evacuated half their population to New Zealand who has continued to aid their economy.
