- Description:
- Te buuro. Neck ornament of shell. This is a pendant made from a type of te buuro otherwise known as a Nautilus shell. It is circular in shape with a small perforation drilled to one side. It features two sides, one side is off-white in colour with fine linear ridges that run horizontal across the surface. The opposite side reveals surface traits similar to that of te bwaeo (pearl shell). This would be used to form a neck ornament.
