Description:
Sisi. Waist ornament. This sisi is part of a set which is worn during Futuna dances such as the soamako. This sis is bright and multi-coloured and made from dyed fau (hibiscus) and feathers. The waistband base is made from woven strips of lau fala (pandanus fibre) and attached on the top is a row of dyed fau rosettes.
