- Kato. Basket. Oval shaped coil basket. This kato is made with coiled tu'aniu (coconut midrib) which has been wrapped and knotted together with lou akau (pandanus). The tu'aniu is coiled from the bottom and its wrapped and knotted until the desired depth is reached.
