Description:
Souvenir. A carved wooden box to perhaps hold a bible. It has been made from a light coloured wood referred to as miro that has been acquired on Pitcairn island. It is rectangular in form and has been made with a hinged lid. Its entirety has been made to portray a book but made for the purpose of a receptacle. The lid features a range of engravings. The first being a profile of the Pitcairn island. Below this is text in upper case that reads: ...
