Description:
Carved wooden paddle etched with fish significant to the local people on either side of the blade. Each face two swimming fish either side of a larger fish/water spirit spine with tail. Depiction is carved into the blade. The handle has a carved tendril wrapping around the shaft at top and bottom. Proximal end has what might be a stylised face with heavy brows and nostrils cut out. Length 1590mm x width blade 174mm depth shaft approx 30mm.
