- This VCP proposal is for the repair and re-commissioning of the automatic weather station at Hanan International Airport, Niue. The station was rendered unserviceable as a result of the passage of Tropical Cyclone Heta in January 2004. The station is essential to supplement the daytime manual reporting programme, both for meteorological data requirements and also to ensure that an appropriate reporting programme for international aviation is in place.
