Description:
David Buckley of Geomark Analysis is the instructor for the "Introduction to GIS" workshop. Discussed in Part 1 are; The Nature of Geographic Information, Fundamental GIS Concepts, and Data Input. Nature of Geographic Information talks about geographic features, maps and spatial information, data accuracy and quality. Fundamental GIS Concepts discusses the components of a GIS, spatial data models, attribute data models, and spatial data relationships. Lastly, Data Input examines sources of data, data input techniques and data editing. Discussion to be continued in Part 2.
