US Marines use the Light Assault Vehicle (LAV-25) and a sniper position on the hoof to guard a building designated as the American Embassy. Marine from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Camp Pendleton, Ca trained in simulated Noncombatant Evacuation Operation (NEO) at Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Station, HI during Operation RIMPAC 96. One Marine is armed with the 5.56mm M16A2 assault rifle with the M203 grenade launcher attached while the LAV-25 is armed with the 25mm M242 "Bushmaster" chain gun and a 7.62mm M240G machine gun atop the turret
