- Herbert J. Wilkinson was Professor of Anatomy at the University of Queensland and also the first Dean of Medicine. Before coming to the University of Queensland he worked at the University of Sydney and the University of Adelaide. The recipient of a Rockefeller Fellowship, he travelled to Europe, the United States and Canada from 1928 to 1930.
